EARLY RELEASE DAY
Students in the district will be released early October 24. After-school programs, bus schedules and other portions of the daily schedule will be adjusted by two hours on those days.
Teachers will be able to use the time to work with colleagues in either their grade level or subject area to plan lessons, discuss individual student performance, share ideas and best practices, and adjust teaching approaches with individual students as needed.

November 6 (Election Day) is now a student holiday in RISD. The October 5 holiday is unchanged.
Vote on Tax Increase November 6
The Richardson ISD Board of Trustees voted to set the district’s operating tax rate at $1.17, triggering a tax ratification election (TRE) for November 6. The board is asking voters to approve a 13 cent increase in the tax rate, currently set at $1.04.
